best valentines day ever

so.

i hung out all day on campus watching people with balloons. I saw clubs selling cupcakes. Highlight of the day (or so i thought) was the blood truck with a “bring your date to donate blood.” On my newsfeed, there were bouquets of flowers, jewelry pictures, box of chocolates with people saying “i have the best boyfriend/girlfriend ever.” I was like aw that’s cute but didn’t really think much of it.

But then my friend, Issa, told me he surprised/sent his girlfriend a pizza from papa johns (he lives in sf and she lives in cal poly). THAT. That i thought was adorable. and i was finally like… AWWW VALENTINES DAY. >:| I told jk this and wrote it on lom’s wall cause i knew she had such a cute day planned.

I got home and started cooking a big dinner so that jk might have something to come home to. but then I got a doorbell ring and i was like who the fuck. damn people selling chocolate. ugh. hope it’s not our landlord. fuckers leave me alone. 

THEN i opened to door and THERE WAS A PAPA JOHNS PIZZA AT THE DOOR. FROM JOE. and i was like ….no. way. no way. there’s no way. are you serious. OMG NO WAY. omg. the delivery lady thought i was crazy. 

this is why i associate food with love. 

btw. lom completely upstaged the healthy dinner i planned to give jk. 

oh and for some reason this pizza was incredible. the crust was amazing and flaky and holy shit it was so good. not just saying that because it’s made of love but it’s really it was so good. 

then jk came home with our favorite treat from trader joes. we ate that within ten minutes. pizza upstaged that too. my god, lom, you are so good.

i had a dinner of pizza and bonbons. it was seriously a great valentines day. one of the best i ever had. I have such great friends, and I am so grateful and blessed that i still felt love today.

I know you’re ending in three weeks but can you end sooner? i miss my friends. i miss talking to them, hanging out with them, texting them, seeing them.

worked (prepared for presentation)

dinner with K.D. at fat fish (delicious and amazing, the food and the company)

Thursday

worked (had not so good presentation)

drove T’s friend home and yelled at him

Friday

worked (heard the aftereffects of my presentation…brutal)

SOCIAL - hung out with the other interns (possibly goign to vegas aug 5-7)

MANNA - oh manna i missed you so so so so much (delicious kbbq, best in sd)

WHISKEY GIRL - SO MUCH FUN SO MUCH MUSIC met someone who worked at VAgames and gets battlefield3 for free and is here in sd for comicon. Seemed like a really cool person and had the best pick up line ever “oh me? i work at VAgames”

slept for 3 hours

Saturday

not working out in a week (start of my mistake list)

woke up at 7 and didn’t eat breakfast and slightly hungover from night before (mistake 1)

drove around and tried to decide on a hike between the 10 of us, 3 sisters (mistake 2)
(…3 sisters… we meet again)

took five hour energy at nine (mistake 3)

Started driving around 10 (mistake 4) got there at noon (mistake 5)

Tried to save water so that i would have a lot on the way back (mistake 6)

Left Cathy in a shaded area by herself because she couldn’t go on (mistake 7)

Got there…. realized how beautiful it was (not a mistake)

Stayed there until 2 and CRASHED from five hour energy (falls under mistake 3)

Saw helicopters talk to an asian girl… someone realized it was cathy, i think it was Tammy (falls under mistake 7)

Julie (carrying our backpack) and Ben go up the mountain quick to see if it’s Cathy. Taking the water with her (uh oh)

I stop sweating. Get extremely dehydrated. Used other people’s water. Cathy didn’t bring water so Julie gave her a lot of ours. So when i used other people’s water they became dehydrated. Then Kimmy looked like she was goign to die (me too) and so we waited for her but then we all felt miserable beacuse the sun was so hot so I had tocool down by using the water to splash on kimmy and myself to prevent us from overheating. By doing so, we ran out of water quickly.

Then i almost died on the side of a cliff. Kou and Nick saved me. I……. will never forget how amazing they are.

Then we somehow made it and saw firefighters on the way and they were amazing and brought us water. I also kept screaming at people who walked by “DO YOU HAVE ANY WATER” and everyone we met gave us some water. EVERYONE.

It’s jsut amazing how nice people were on this hike. Also, everyone one of our boys were beasts and could handle the hike but they ALL waited for us. Some scouted ahead to see if there were any easier routes. They gave us as much water as we wanted. They were the ones who would make sure every girl was accounted for and safe. Oh god, they hiked behind us as we were climbing the mountain and it was just…amazing. I just want to let myself know…. these are the greatest group of friends i could ever ask for and it felt like we were really a family. I am really so very lucky.

anyways we survived and all of us are sore as SHIT right now. my legs are sore but my arms are the most sore jsut because i held onto the side of the mountain for dear life. lol

This was the second time doing it and now i know that preparation can make a WORLD of difference.

then we came back, went immediately to pho. ate, got ready. sad goodbye to nick =\ he’s too amazing. then we went home got ready and went over to Hydra and prepartied then we went to Sting….. and danced our hearts away. Ed shouldn’t have driven. The other car got lost when they went out of the club. Sandra Lee made an appearance. Brendy and Kou made the best cockblocks. Ed got thrown out of the club. Angel invented the creeper dance.

then went back to Hydra. We slept over and messed around with Angel’s Flip camcorder and had some HILARIOUS videos.

finally am charging my phone at 11:05pm. Dead batteries alllllll weeekeneddddd loonnggggggg ugh. i felt so closed off, but honestly it was like a little escape from reality. The weekend was so surreal =\ it’s hard to forget about it, and I hope i never do. I am just an incredibly lucky girl, and I need to remember how much my friends really mean to me. I love every single one of them.
